Galaxy Nexus with Verizon 4G LTE - knew this was coming with the talks of Verizon getting some sort of exclusive on the “Nexus” and passing on the Galaxy S II, but now we have official confirmation of the Galaxy Nexus with Verizon 4G LTE - Clearly shown in the image above is the Galaxy Nexus and the Verizon 4G LTE symbol below the camera.

Whoa, it’s about time guys. We can now officially check “clear the FCC” off the list for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus sporting 4G LTE. The Galaxy Nexus sporting those Verizon 4G LTE bands has finally landed and received approval from the FCC. Could this be what the wait, silence, and possible delays have been for?

Maybe now Verizon will rush to the streets and announce some sort of launch date. I’m still hopeful for a November release, but we’ll see. We’ve seen rumors regarding the Verizon version launching on the 17th, the 21st, or lately even sometime in December as everyone slowly has lost hope with Verizon and Samsung both being silent. Maybe you should just go out and buy the new DROID RAZR instead (just a thought).
We’ve recently seen training material for the GNex at Verizon so it appears things are ready to go. Maybe this was the last step and now they’ll announce something, either way we should know soon enough. We’ve seen announcements from O2, Bell, Rogers and more and I know many are dying for some news from Verizon. I have a feeling it will be coming any time now, so stay tuned and keep patient. I might have to ship one over from Europe if they don’t hurry it up over at big red. Get ready for some ICS guys because it’s coming.

In an announcement that basically confirmed what everyone on earth already knew, Verizon let known that the Galaxy Nexus would be coming to the top carrier in the USA by the end of 2011. The date at which the device will be released OR put up for pre-sale is not yet known, but we can bet that the specs will be sticking from when we saw them first earlier this week in Hong Kong. The Galaxy Nexus is a Samsung device that will be Google’s hero phone for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, an operating system that brings together functionality from both tablet and smartphone Android OS versions for one future system.

The Galaxy Nexus will be available by the end of 2011 running Verizon’s speedy 4G LTE network and will be working at what Verizon says is 5 to 12 megabits per second with upload speeds at 2 to 5 megabits per second in LTE coverage areas across the USA. This device will feature a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display at 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and will have a 1.2GHz dual-core processor from Texas Instruments, the OMAP 4, with 1GB of RAM to back it up. There’s a 5-megapixel camera on the back capable of 1080p full HD video capture, a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front for video chat, and NFC inside for all your Near Field Communications needs.
You’ll also be able to enjoy such Ice Cream Sandwich features as Android Beam which uses NFC to share web pages, apps, and other media with just a tap of your phone to another NFC Ice Cream Sandwich phone, and all your favorite Google apps will be inside – including a whole newly designed Google+ app. Take a look at our hands-on with the Galaxy Nexus and our hands-on with Ice Cream Sandwich both in these links and in the videos below, and get prepared for some awesome Verizon action in the near future!
